Castleton
is in the Peak National Park and the Methodist Church is situated
on the main road out of the village towards Blue John Cavern.
Visitors are most welcome to share in worship with us or come
to any of the events.
Castleton Church was
built in 1898 at a cost of £2,000. The builder being Mr
Albert Wheat. It has beautiful woodwork and excellent acoutics.
The opening service on June 23 was conducted by Rev C.H. Kelly,
ex President of Methodist Conference. In the 1930's the beautiful
window of the Good Shepherd was donated by J.A. Stead, a Sheffield
Cutler. |
